A Special Meeting of the
Town of Wilson Town Board was held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at
7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Town Hall.
The
following people were present:
Supervisor Joseph A. Jastrzemski
Councilmen Melinda Major Holloway
Brad Clark
James Muscoreil
Thomas Thompson
Hwy.
Superintendent Daniel Kerwin
Building Inspector Lawrence Banks
A
Resolution was offered by Mr. Jastrzemski, seconded by Mr. Clark
and unanimously adopted, Mr. Banks be authorized to attend a code
enforcement course March 15, 2007 at Cheektowaga.
Mr.
Jastrzemski spoke about the Resolution adopted last month
increasing the amount payable to the South Wilson Volunteer Fire
Company for the year 2007. The amendment to the contract did not
reflect the increase for the 2008 calendar year as agreed upon.
A
Resolution was offered by Mr. Muscoreil, seconded by Mr. Thompson
and unanimously adopted, amending the agreement with the South
Wilson Volunteer Fire Company by increasing the amounts payable
for the 2007 and 2008 calendar years in the amounts of $129,472.10
and $134,106.26 respectively. Copy attached to these minutes.
A
Resolution was offered by Mr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Thompson and
unanimously adopted, David Warsocki be appointed Substitute
Constable, p/t at a rate of $20.00 per hour effective March 1,
2007 and paid bi-weekly.
Mr.
Clark reported that he has not met with the technicians from
Building Controls as yet.
The Board discussed
funding for the Wilson Free Library. Marge Clark, Director, and
Patrick Kelahan, Library Board President, were present. The Town
Board was in agreement that every effort should be made to
increase the library funding by $10,000 to last year’s level of
$35,000.
A Resolution was
offered by Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Muscoreil and unanimously
adopted, an additional $5,000 be paid to Wilson Free Library in
June of 2007 and $5,000 in September of 2007 if the money is
available.
A Resolution was
offered by Mr. Jastrzemski, seconded by Mrs. Holloway and
unanimously adopted, authorizing the members of the Town Board to
attend Hodgson Russ Public Authorities Accountability Act Training
Program Friday, March 16, 2007 in Buffalo at no cost to the Town.
A motion was made
by Mr. Muscoreil, seconded by Mr. Clark and unanimously carried,
the Special Meeting be adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
At this time, Mr.
Jastrzemski opened the Workshop Meeting.

A motion was made
by Mr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Thompson and unanimously carried,
the meeting be adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
