A motion was made by Mr. Luff,
seconded by Mr. Clark and unanimously carried, the minutes of
the July 6, 2001 workshop meeting and the July 20, 2001 regular
meeting be approved as submitted by the Clerk.
The Town Clerk read the claims
being audited by the Board.
There was a
discussion of B Fund Claim 94 to Metzger Civil Engineering
for semi-annual testing at the landfill.

Thank yous were received from Jane

A letter of resignation from the
Board of Assessment Review was received from Augusta Bradley.

heard, Mr. Dean closed public participation.
Mr. Banks reported 15 building
permits were issued during July with a value of $523,300.
Mr. Moxham reported on three zoning
violations.
The next Planning Board Meeting will
be Tuesday, September 18, 2001.
A Resolution was offered by Mr.
Dean, seconded by Mr. Clark and unanimously adopted, Lawrence
Banks be appointed permanent Building Inspector from the Niagara
County Civil Service eligible list
A motion was made by Mrs. Simmons,
seconded by Mr. Luff and unanimously carried, the Town Clerk be
authorized to purchase a Schwab fireproof cabinet at a cost of
$1,811.00.
A motion was made by Mr. Luff,
seconded by Mr. Dean and unanimously carried, the Board accept
the proposal of LCS Improvements for construction of a fishing
dock on Town property at Riverview Drive and Route 18 at
Roosevelt Beach at a cost of $3,120.00.
A motion was made by Mr. Muck,
seconded by Mr. Clark and unanimously carried, the resignation
of Augusta Bradley from the Board of Assessment Review be
accepted.
A Resolution was offered by Mr.
Muck, seconded by Mrs. Simmons and unanimously adopted, opposing
the adoption of a Niagara County Charter. Resolution attached
to these minutes.
A motion was made by Mrs. Simmons,
seconded by Mr. Dean and unanimously carried, the Town contact
Legislators Gerald Meal, Clyde Burmaster, Shirley Gregory Urtel
and Public Works Commissioner Dorson R. Wilson to convey the
Board’s concerns about the poor condition of Ide Road.
Mr. Dean reported that funding in
the amount of $5,000 has been received through the efforts of
Senator George Maziarz to assist with tire pickup in the Town of
Wilson.
Mr. Clark reported that Randy Ward
donated the materials and labor to construct a small handicap
ramp for Election District 1 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic
Church. The Clerk will send a letter of thanks to Mr. Ward.

Monday, September 10, 2001.
The next regular meeting will be
Monday, September 17, 2001.
