October 15, 2001
The
regular meeting of the Wilson Town Board was held Monday,
October 15th, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Town
Hall.

A motion was made by Mr. Clark,
seconded by Mrs. Simmons and unanimously carried, the minutes of
the September 18, 2001 be approved as submitted by the Clerk.
A motion was made by Mrs. Simmons,
seconded by Mr. Muck and unanimously carried, the following bills
be approved as submitted by the Clerk:

A
thank you was received from the Tax Collector for allowing her to
attend the Northeast Region Tax Collectors’ Conference in
September.
A request was received from the Town
Clerk and Deputy Town Clerk for authorization to attend a Records
Management Workshop in Buffalo November 9, 2001.
Notification of a 2 year liquor
license renewal was received from Joyce L. Koss, DBA Martin’s
Restaurant, 3320 West Lake Road.
A request was received from Kimberly
A. Winquist, Michelle L. Evans and Melissa A. Kirsch for the
Town’s support of their efforts to renovate the landfill on
Chestnut Road as part of a competition for the Wilson Middle
School Gifted and Talented program.
The Town Clerk announced receipt of
a copy of the Proposed Niagara County Charter and 2 abstracts of
the proposals. The information is on file in her office for
public viewing.
No one wished to speak during public
participation.
The Building Inspector reported 10
building permits were issued during September at an estimated
value of $30,000.
The next Planning Board meeting will
be Tuesday, November 13, 2001.
Mr. Moxham reported on the status of
three zoning violations.
A motion was made by Mr. Dean,
seconded by Mr. Luff and unanimously carried, the Town Clerk and
Deputy Town Clerk be authorized to attend a Records Management
Seminar in Buffalo NY November 9, 2001.
A Resolution was offered by Mr.
Clark, seconded by Mr. Muck and unanimously adopted, authorizing
the actual listing of unpaid accounts provided by the Water
Department or any other Town charges as a lien on real property
for which services were provided. These listings are to be
forwarded to the Assessor’s office for posting.
A motion was made by Mrs. Simmons,
seconded by Mr. Clark and unanimously carried, a Public Hearing on
the 2002 Preliminary Budget be set for Monday, November 5, 2001 at
7:30 p.m.
A Resolution was offered by Mr. Luff,
seconded by Mr. Muck and unanimously adopted, the Highway
Superintendent be authorized to dispose of a 1991 Ford Tandem
Truck in a way that is most advantageous to the Town.
A Resolution was offered by Mrs.
Simmons, seconded by Mr. Dean and unanimously adopted authorizing
Metzger Civil Engineering to advertise for bids for waterline
extensions at North Beebe Road and Lake Road and along Shore
Drive. Bids to be opened on October 31, 2001.
A Resolution was offered by Mrs.
Simmons, seconded by Mr. Muck and carried, amending fees with
regards to the Town’s administration of Coastal Fees as read by
the Clerk.. Mr. Clark cast the one “no” vote. Resolution
attached to these minutes.
A Resolution was offered by Mr.
Dean, seconded by Mr. Muck and unanimously adopted, the remainder
of the Building Inspector’s probationary period be waived after
nine calendar weeks, ending October 22, 2001.
The Supervisor thanked the Highway
Superintendent and the men in his department for the fine road
work and mowing they did this summer.
The Town Clerk was asked to send
letters of thanks to Dr. Mary Weiler and Mark Van Buren for
caring for the flowers in the “Welcome to Wilson” signs throughout
the summer.
A Special Meeting will be held on
Monday, November 5, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.
A Public Hearing on the 2002
Preliminary Budget will be held on Monday, November 5, 2001 at
7:30 p.m.
The next regular meeting will be
held Tuesday, November 13, 2001.
A motion was made by Mr. Dean,
seconded by Mrs. Simmons and unanimously carried, the meeting be
adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
