A Special Meeting of the Town of Wilson Town Board was held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Town Hall. 

The following people were present:

Supervisor                    Joseph A. Jastrzemski

Councilmen                  Melinda Major

                                    Brad Clark

                                    James Muscoreil

                                    Thomas Thompson

Hwy. Superintendent    Daniel M. Kerwin

 The Board discussed hiring a seasonal part-time worker for the cemetery.

 Mr. Kerwin told the Board that he was not looking for a part-time employee.

 Following discussion, a Resolution was offered by Mr. Jastrzemski and seconded by Mr. Thompson, John Cevaer be appointed Seasonal Laborer p/t, from June 2, 2008 to September 28, 2008, whose primary job will be to work in the cemetery under the direct supervision of the Highway Superintendent at a rate of $10.00 per hour and paid bi-weekly.  Roll call vote responded as follows:

Mr. Jastrzemski, yes    Mr. Clark, no   Mr. Thompson, yes   Ms. Major, yes    Mr. Muscoreil, yes                                                                                ADOPTED

A Resolution was offered by Mr. Jastrzemski, seconded by Mr. Clark and unanimously adopted, requesting the New York State Department of Transportation delay the bridge painting project on Route 18 at Roosevelt Beach until after the Labor Day Holiday.  Copy of the Resolution will be sent to State Senator George Maziarz and State Assemblywoman Francine DelMonte.  Copy attached to these minutes.

 The Board discussed the proposed dock for Sunset Island refuse.

 A motion was made by Mr. Muscoreil, seconded by Ms. Major and unanimously carried, the meeting be adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
